GEORGIAN-BORN SOPRANO
ANNA MOOG

Georgian Classical singer-soprano Anna Moog was born to a family of professional musicians, which tremendously influenced her musical development. She later went on to complete her master’s degree in vocal performance at the Conservatory in Tbilisi under the tutelage of Professor Svetlana Egorova, graduating with distinction. Since 2021 Anna is currently studying Vocal Performance, specifically Lied at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne, under the guidance of Prof. Brigitte Lindner.

Since her early years, Anna has performed several concerts with her sister Sofiko. The duo, known as the "Tsartsidze Sisters" won various international competitions, and have been invited to perform at several festivals in different countries. In 2008, the sisters were engaged to record the "Little Imber", a contemporary piece by Georgian composer Gia Kancheli. The resulting CD received great acclaim.

Anna’s career has taken her to perform in countless international festivals, including the Liana Isakadze Festival, Vladimir Spivakov Festival, Tbilisi Baroque Festival, and "Autumn Tbilisi". At the age of 21, Anna made her debut at the State Vano Sarajishvili Conservatory, performing the role of Ismene, from the opera "Mitridate, re di Ponto'' by W.A.Mozart. The production was performed on the stage of the Rustaveli Drama Theater and included several renowned Georgian drama actors. Subsequently, Anna made her debut singing the role of Tigrane from the opera ''Radamisto'' by G.F.Händel. These two roles had a significant impact on Anna‘s musical development, and inspired her lasting affinity towards early music.

Anna had the privilege to participate in several masterclasses with internationally renowned singers. Some of these include Makvala Kasrashvili, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Linda Watson, Helen Donath, Marius Vlad, Alberto Rinaldi, David Syrus, Michele Crider, Inga Kalna, Ulrich Eisenlohr, Jan Philip Schulze and Moritz Eggert. Anna was also selected by the President of Georgia to receive a scholarship, enabling her to participate in masterclasses at the Bavarian Opera Academy.

Anna has been the recipient of several prizes from both national and international competitions. Notably, some of these competitions include finalist in the Hans Gabor Belvedere singing competition as well as her early success and encouragement received from Placido Domingo's OPERALIA, Neue Stimmen. In 2020 Anna was a main prize winner at the Competition Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in Berlin. Her success came with concerts which are currently being planned. Most recently, in 2023 Anna won 2nd prize in the song competition of the Lions Club in Cologne.

Anna Moog was engaged as a soloist at the opera studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where she sang in 71 performances in Düsseldorf and Duisburg. Various roles include  the blonde ''Die Entführung aus dem Serail'', Barbarina ''Le nozze di Figaro'', Tebaldo ''Don Carlo'', Princess of Marius Felix Lange, ''Die Schneekönigin'', Papagena ''Die Magic Flute'', Giannetta ''L'elisir d'amore''. She has also been invited to the Baden State Theater, where she appeared as a guest.

As a concert singer, Anna has been an integral part of various concert series. She has worked at the Düsseldorf Lyric Opera, the Goldberg Baroque Festival in Poland, singing Handel’s Gloria and Zelenca's Magnificat, and the International Baroque Festival in Georgia. Anna has also been a returning guest at the theater in Arnstadt, performing a variety of concert programs including an evening of operetta as well as Lied. Since 2016, she has also been singing for the internationally renowned piano manufacturer Kawai. In 2017 Anna was invited to perform at the prestigious New Years' concert in Mannheim, performing with the Starkenburg Philharmonic Orchestra in the titled program ''from Spain to South America''. Here she performed Spanish Zarzuelas under the direction of Günther Stegmüller. In 2022, within the project UNIMUS 22 , Anna recorded "Ave Maria" from Mendelssohn’s opera "Loreley" with the choir of Koblenz. The recording of this work by Anna will be played in romantic tourist spots on the banks of the Rhine river near the city of Koblenz using a QR code.

A project of particular importance took place in 2022 at the Florins Church in Koblenz, where Anna performed the soprano part in Carl Jenkins' Mass for Peace.

In 2024, Anna received an invitation to join the Georgian violin ensemble Si-Mi on a tour of Texas as part of the Blue Candlelight Music Series. The tour included six concerts and an educational program in Fort Worth, Dallas and Plano.
